Dr. Cathy Mutale is a qualified Veterinary Surgeon with a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Zambia (UNZA) and is currently pursuing a Master of Ecological Public Health at the University of Zambia. She brings extensive experience in veterinary consultancy, animal health management, pharmaceutical sales, technical advisory services, and commercial poultry production.
Combining strong scientific knowledge with practical field experience, Dr Mutale provides effective animal health and livestock production solutions across a range of production systems. Her particular expertise lies in poultry production, especially layer management, where she has developed significant experience in flock health management, nutrition, biosecurity, disease prevention and control, vaccination programme design, and production performance optimisation.
Dr Mutale is skilled in analysing key production indicators and implementing practical, evidence-based interventions that improve productivity, animal welfare, and farm profitability. Her hands-on experience enables her to identify challenges quickly and develop tailored solutions that deliver measurable results for producers.
In addition to her production expertise, Dr Mutale has a strong background in veterinary pharmaceutical marketing, technical sales, regulatory compliance, customer engagement, and biosecurity programme implementation. Her ability to combine veterinary science with commercial strategy allows her to support farmers, veterinarians, agribusinesses, and development organisations in achieving improved animal health outcomes, operational efficiency, and sustainable business growth.
